Email signature logo not working — how to fix it
Logos in email signatures break for one of three reasons. Here's how to diagnose and fix each one.
Email signature logo not working — how to fix it
- 1
Paste your logo URL directly into a browser tab to confirm it loads publicly — if it requires a login, it won't load in email.
- 2
Check the URL starts with HTTPS — HTTP URLs are blocked by Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.
- 3
Use PNG (with transparent background) or JPG — avoid WEBP, SVG, and GIF which are not supported in most email clients.
- 4
Keep the logo file under 50KB — larger files time out silently on slow connections and in preview panes.
- 5
If the logo shows in Gmail but not Outlook, Outlook is blocking external images — advise recipients to click "Always show images" for your domain.
- 6
If the logo loads in preview but disappears after sending, the URL changed — re-host the image and update your signature immediately.
- 7
Avoid using image hosting services that require sign-in or that expire URLs (like temporary upload links) — use a permanent public URL on your own domain or a CDN.

// what people say
Loved by people who send a lot of email.
"I've tried four of these things. signcraft is the only one where my signature actually looks the way it did in the preview after I paste it into Gmail."
Elena Marrok
Brand Director, Vector Studio
"Rolled it out across our whole firm in an afternoon. Forty-two lawyers, one consistent look, zero IT tickets. That's basically a miracle."
Samir Rahimi
Managing Partner, Lumen Law
"I was about to pay someone $400 to design this. Did it in three minutes. Tasteful defaults — that's what I'm paying for, and it's free."
